Diane and Tess Christiansen offer actors masterful techniques, coaching, and direction that presents them at their very best in well-prepared, polished scenes.

Actors will receive invaluable insider information on personal branding and a career strategy to prepare them for success throughout the process of the four-night class and after!

• It doesn’t stop there!  Our course also educates PARENTS on how to avoid being a “stage parent,” giving your child the opportunity to truly flourish.​

• This one-of-kind workshop & showcase at The Christiansen Acting Academy is designed for actors ready for a professional career, ages 6 and up.

SCHEDULE: 

 

• Night 1: Thursday, MAY 23rd @ 5:30pm (PACIFIC)

  • Informational seminar with Diane and Tess that will focus on personal branding and strategically preparing you for success. This is the perfect time to ask any questions regarding the workshop, showcase, agents/managers, auditions, etc. In the week following, scenes will be specifically and carefully chosen to represent each actors' niche and marketability.

  • If an actor is under 15-years-old, parent or guardian is required to attend this night.

• Night 2: Thursday, MAY 30th @ 5:30pm​

  • Rehearsal w/ Tess Christiansen

  • In the week following, scenes will be specifically and carefully chosen to represent each actors' niche and marketability.

• Night 3:  Thursday, JUNE 6th @ 5:30pm​

  • Dress Rehearsal w/ Diane Christiansen

  • Diane will polish, coach, and direct each scene. Actors arrive camera ready, in the wardrobe they will wear on showcase night and bring all props to rehearse with.

  • Head shots + resumes are due by this night

• Night 4: Thursday, JUNE 13th @ 6:00-8:00pm​

  • 'Screen Test Live' Showcase

  • Industry reps attend the online showcase to watch participating actors perform their prepared scenes live. A-list agents and managers are scheduled to come, all of whom are actively seeking new talent to add to their rosters! Here are a few of our recent agents and managers in attendance:

Why do so many of our students get signed?

Because agents know that we only showcase the very best and most professional talent. This means that there is no downtime once they offer representation - they can sign you and send you on a top audition the next day (which often happens)!

Everyone taking part in this workshop, regardless of age, is at the point in their acting training where they are ready to be auditioning theatrically and working on-set. To ensure that all of the actors participating are ready for the commitment and expectations of being a professional actor, students must audition and be accepted into Screen Test Live.

If you are new to acting or "green," we suggest taking our acting classes or private coaching before doing this workshop.

• Along with your audition tape; send important information such as:

  • head shot and resume [if you have them] or current photo

  • name, age, and phone number

  • briefly explain previous acting experience

Audition Requirements

1. Prepare a 2 to 5 minute, two or three person scene from a film/TV show/play that you could realistically audition for or be cast in. Something that represents you at your very best!

2. Record your scene “audition style” with a reader off-camera. (If you do not have a reader for your scene, a monologue is acceptable, but not preferred)

3. Videos can be simple and recorded with your phone. Your face should be easy to see and your voice easy to hear.

4. There are no fees to audition. 

5. Actors do not pay until they are accepted, at which time the full amount or deposit of 50% will be required to hold your spot.​

 

Tuition

Tuition for this one-of-a-kind experience is only:

• $450 for new students

*Current refers to actors who are currently in one of our acting classes: Next Generation. Biz Kids, Commercial, Screen Teens, Actors Core*

Refunds are not offered for SCREEN TEST LIVE after the first class, regardless of attendance.​
